Review

As it is common with indie titles, i went into this new adventure without knowing what to expect from it. The brief opening cinematic does a quite good job at swiftly setting the overall look and feel that will accompany me throughout the game.

Soon after i encounter the first NPC of the game giving me a rather unique introduction like i haven't seen them in most games before. The humorous, maybe almost silly dialogue creates a big chunk of the games unique charm and it got a good chuckle out of me on multiple occasions.

The earlier levels in the game focus mainly on movement based puzzle solving, none of which are overwhelmingly complicated, but they do a great job at keeping you engaged and i found fidgeting around with the levels unique mechanics to be quite entertaining.

As i keep progressing through the levels, the unique spins for the levels gradually become more environment oriented for the most part. In the later portion of the game i encounter silly machines, i'm almost inclined to call them toys, that draw me in like a moth drawn in by a flickering flame. A button to press here, a lever to pull there, i just had to fidget each and every single one of those mechanisms, curious to find out what they would end up doing.

Thus it comes as no surprise when i inevitably approached the very end of the game, i caught myself huffing, wishing there were more of these strangely charming places to roam and explore. Luckily the developer did a great job to end the game with a proper last jest, leaving me looking forward to the release of the full game.

Overall i can most defenitely give a recommendation to check out this hilarious trip through the game development factory for yourself. The demo can be completed in about 25 minutes at a reasonable pace and you can play it for FREE! So if i managed to convince you of this little artworks quality, do not hesitate and head over to the games steampage and grab a copy of the demo right away!

The Pros

  • Refreshingly experimental mechanics
  • Great movement and controls
  • Puzzles are neither too difficult nor too easy
  • Gamplay pacing feels good

The Cons

  • Environment a bit bare bones at times
  • Lacks some polish here and there
  • Time to complete might be a bit short
